WI-64 modification |
(for Wasburn Idol WI-64 series)
The two schemes were provided by Bernhard Betancourt, so I wish to thank him.
Here is the original VCC schematics for Wasburn Idol WI-64 series (for one pickup only):

And here is the scheme of modification:

Here's what the author says:
The coils of the neck-pu are wired parallel (sounds crisp an clear like a
p-90), the bridge-pu is configured as a standard humbucker (coils in
series, hot and punchy).
I connected the pickups out-of-phase to the toggle switch to get three
usable sounds. This looks wrong but it isn't - believe me. When you wire
the pickups "the right way" in phase, the neck pickup will dominate the
bridge-pu when both are on and you'll hear no difference between neck-pu
alone and neck+bridge.
The rest of the schematic is very basic guitar stuff. A voltagedivider as
master volume and a standard tone-control with one capacitator. Increase
the value of the cap to get more high-cut. I like my tone controls to be
subtle.
